Intuition is that voice inside you that speaks to you when you're trying to make a decision or figure something out. It's the feeling you have if something you sense, tells you whether it is right or wrong. We all have intuition, and we are, unfortunately, taught in westernized society, that our intuition is not valuable to us, rather it is “hokey” or made up, and so, we don't always listen to it. We’ve been taught that it’s just our imagination playing tricks on us, and so if we listen to it, perhaps we're also afraid of making the wrong choice. We don’t trust this part of ourselves enough.
Our Intuition, is a natural part of our spiritual nature, and it is incredibly powerful, and learning to pay attention to it empowers us. In fact, research has shown that relying on your intuition can help you make better decisions, improve your creative thinking, and boost your problem-solving skills. Your intuition, a higher sense beyond your physical body, can help guide you in every area of your life, from your personal relationships to your career choices. Learning to trust your intuition takes practice, but it is essential for keeping you safe, and making the best decisions for yourself, and living a life that feels more authentic to you.
A common question we all are prone to ask ourselves is, "How do I know if a feeling or a nudge is my intuition or just my imagination?" The answer is that when an inspiration, whisper or nudge, comes from your intuition, you'll get a feeling of knowing. You’ll know when you choose to allow yourself to believe in your intuition – when you validate this part of you, it will respond to you, and come forward even stronger to guide you.

Here are a few ways you can tune into your intuition more often:
Get still and quiet: When you're trying to hear the voice of your intuition, it's helpful to get away from the noise and activity of daily life. Spend some time in nature, meditate, or just take some deep breaths and clear your mind. No pressure involved in “trying to listen”, just allow yourself to quiet the chatter of your conscious mind, and you'll be better able to hear the guidance of your intuition. After a while your intuition will come to you in almost any kind of situation.
Pay attention to how you feel: Your body also provides clues about what's in alignment with your highest good. If something feels off, pay attention to that feeling. On the other hand, if something feels really good and inspires you, go for it! Follow those good vibes and see where they lead you.
Divination: If you're still not sure what your intuition is telling you about a particular situation, try using rune stones or cards as divination tools. I have used rune stones, regular playing cards, various tarot cards, and oracle cards over the years to tap into my own intuitive guidance. Rune Stones are historically unchanged and are excellent for specific messages. Taro or oracle cards have a great range, so pick cards that resonate with you. Once you've properly cleared and shuffled them thoroughly, ask your question out loud and then choose one card at random or pick 3 cards. The card or cards you choose will give you some insight into what's going on for you energetically around the situation in question.
Conclusion:
Our intuition is one of the most powerful tools we have at our disposal, and we although in the past we have too often ignored it or written it off as our imagination playing tricks on us, we are now moving towards being more truthful in all our feelings and experiences, and in so doing, we are honoring our intuition, our natural power.
As we choose to pay more attention to our intuitive inner voice, we are seeing a lot more successes and happiness in our lives. People are talking more openly about their natural spiritual gifts, - and our intuition is certainly one of them. Paying attention to our intuition can keep us safe, improve the quality of our lives, and help us create authentic connections with the world around us. So next time something doesn't feel right, trust in your intuition, and listen within for the answer, because, as most of us know, we’ve each said at one time or another, “I knew I should have listened to my intuition!”. Now you can choose more often to listen more closely, and see where your intuition takes you. Over time, you'll see it will absolutely enrich your life.
